I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I can't believe it is already Saturday night and I have to say I am worn out! I was off yesterday and spent the day with my bestest buddy Kat. She was actually sick so I took care of her, got her feeling a little better, went to Cancun for yummy Mexican food, and ended the day watching my Wildcats beat OSU-the #1 team in the country!!! It was a major upset and super exciting. I knew we could do it, but when we actually won it brought tears to my eyes. That might sound crazy, but after being born and raised in Lexington, KY and graduating from the University of Kentucky, I definitely bleed blue. I am so proud of our boys and cannot wait until the play UNC tomorrow afternoon. Sadly, I will be at work, but you better believe I will be watching one way or another!!! Definitely the highlight of my otherwise quiet weekend.
I worked the early shift this morning and then got to do one of my favorite things-go book shopping! We have the coolest store here in Nashville called McKays Used Books and it is basically a huge book warehouse with every kinid of book you can imagine, CDs, and DVDs. The best part is that when my book shelves start getting full and I am out of things to read, I load up all the books, head to McKays and trade them out for a bunch of new ones. Its basically free shopping! I purchased a few Mary Kay Andrew's books, one by Erin Hildebrand, Jane Eyre (because I have NEVER read it and its on my must read list), The Tale of Edgar Sawtelle, and a couple cute chick-lit novels. I couldn't find the 2 books I really came for, of course, so I headed to one of the few remaining bookstores (so sad-I love REAL books) and bought Water for Elephants and The Last Lecture by Roger Pausch. I purchased the last one for the Bloggie Book Club which I am really excited about. I have not found any other bloggers in Nashville and I know in my hometown a bunch of bloggers that I follow have a book club and I have been desperately trying to find one here, no luck. If you would like to join us, check out the link.
It is day 26 of Cait's blog challenge at Fit, Fierce, and Fabulous. I am so proud of myself for actually following through with this challenge. It has made me post everyday, I have been lucky enough to pick up a bunch of followers, and has really made me comfortable and excited about writing my blog everyday. If you are a follower you have made my day for sure!!! Anyway, today's challenge is a picture of something that means a lot to me.
My friends and family. I love them all dearly and couldn't make it through one day without any of them. No matter how long I have known them, the people in these pictures are near and dear to me and are all more like family than friends.
I have realized lately how happy I finally am with my life. There are few people who can say this and really mean it, but finally I am one of them. I love each and every person in my life dearly.
I hope you all are having a fabulous weekend!!!
xoxo,
Sara
