Summer Luvin Saturday's

Today I am linking up with Marie at Pouty Pink Princess for Summer Luvin Saturdays. I know it is very early Sunday now, but I figured no one cares! On most days in the summer when I am off you will find me at the pool reading books and magazines and hanging out with Kat and/or Rebekah enjoying the beautiful day. Today in Nashville was a rainy one and I decided to sleep most of the day away. As usual i have been working lots and lots and this is my first weekend with 3 full days off in a very long time, so rain is my perfect excuse to sleep!

Tonight we went with Rebekah and her Mom to a fabulous restaurant here in Belle Meade called Finezza and it was amazing!!! I should have taken a picture of my dish, but it was called Caprese chicken and was fantastic. I had 2 grilled chicken breasts with roma tomates topped with mozzarella covered with fresh basil all on top of angel hair. It was out of this world and before that I had the best Calamari I have ever tasted. So so so good and I highly recommend if you ever come down here to visit me!

When we got home we watched Friends with Benefits and I LOVED LOVED LOVED it! It was absolutely hilarious and such a true to life story. Justin Timberlake has actually become a pretty entertaining actor and I love the beautiful Mila Kunis. They have great chemistry together on screen and the movie was so much better than the usual cliche romance comedies that are always made. I give it 5 stars from me-I LOVED IT! Watch it-you will love it too.

I have spent the rest of the evening catching up on past seasons of 90210 (lame I know) and reading Jane Eyre. I adore this book and am not even finished with it yet. I am a huge reader and can't believe in my 31 years on this earth I have never ever read this book. I can't wait to see how it ends. The next classic on my list is Pride and Prejudice. So many books never enough time. I would be content to live the rest of my life by the beach and/or pool and just read away. I need to have a job reading books for sure-that is just one of my dream jobs!

Fill in the blank Friday!

Happy Friday!!! I am looking forward to this weekend more than any other in quite a while. We have been short staffed at work and my boss decided that the two us have been working so hard that we could each work a short Friday (12 to 7) then off Sat Sun and Monday. And this week its my turn. I can't hardly wait! I am going to do nothing but lay by the pool, read, blog, and read your blogs. Monday we are going to Nashville Shores-I have free passes that need to be used before the end of the summer and I can't wait!!! I am such a big kid!

I am doing a new link up this week with Lauren at the little things we do for Fill in the Blank Friday.

1. My favorite color is pink and green!!! If I have to chose one over the other its pink of course, but they go hand in hand for me. As if you all don't already know that!

2. My travel destination of choice is St. Simons Island, GA. I was bummed to learn that part of my fam went without me last week, ok more like devastated, but Mom has promised to take me and one of my brothers back at the end of August. I cannot wait!!! I am way to broke to go on my own this year!!!

3. My favorite food is fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Like pink and green they go together, but besides watermelon they are my favorite food(s) hands down. I am a true Southern girl through and through.

4. My happy place is my home. Our home is my safe place and I adore every part of it. Our living room, bedrooms, bathroom, balcony, every piece has been carefully selected by us and it is my true home. I LOVE it.

5. My favorite saying is plain and simple: one day a time. This saying has gotten me through the hardest parts of my life and still helps me deal with hard stuff or when I feel like I am overwhelmed. Its incredible the power those words have over me.

6. My dirty little secret is I LOVE to sleep!!! You will find me in bed until at least 1 and maybe 2 on my first day off in a while. I get worn out working a bunch of days in a row and I am guilty of staying up way to late. I don't get off until 11 so that is kind of a good excuse :) I do try to get up early on my 2nd day off and in the summer so I have plenty of time by the pool.

7. Something friends might say about me is that I am trustworthy and dependable to a fault unless you cross me. I have been told MANY times that people are very happy to stay on my good side. Cross me or someone I love and you better watch out. I have a way with words :)

Hello All! I have been so busy working lately and have been missing my blog and reading yours, so much. I need more hours in the day or maybe just to wake up earlier? I LOVE sleeping. So in my favorite post of the week-here are my favorite pins on Pinterest today.

Pink and Green Thursday

Happy Pink and Green Thursday! I am so happy that it is already the weekend, but I can't believe that we are already halfway through July. It has been super hot here in Nashville, but I am still loving the summer. Hope it cools off a little bit though, it has been ridiculously humid here. The pool is not even cold! Still doesn't take away my love for Summer. I have been looking at so many pics of gorgeous pink flowers lately, thought I would share some of them with ya'll for Pink and Green Thursday! Enjoy! My 100th Post!

I can't believe I am writing my 100th post! That's insane to me for many reasons, but in some ways I feel like this is only my 100th and in other ways I can't believe I have written this much. I have always been a writer, but for so many years I didn't write a word. I had heard about blogging, but I always thought who would read a blog if I wrote it and if people found out it was me they would know about my whole life and I don't know if I like that. So I started reading all of your blogs and found people that I had so much in common with. I was so surprised to see how many Lilly Lovers, preps, southern girls, beach lovers, shoppers, readers, and pink and green lovers, that there were out there and how much we had in common! All of my life I have looked for people that love all the same things I do and bam here you all are. So I stopped worrying about being judged and people knowing who I am and I took the plunge. I am soooooo glad I did. Blogging has become one of my most favorite activities and I can't believe how lost I was the last month not blogging and not being able to read your posts. All of my fears and doubts were completely wrong (as usual) and people actually read my blog! I have met so many cool people on here and feel like I have so many new friends! Who knew that was gonna happen! So in honor of my 100th post, I am going to tell ya'll the best things I have discovered through blogging.

One thing I discovered that I instantly fell in Love with were all the "Keep Calm" signs (like the one above)  I have found and similar ones. I LOVE them and want to find a way to frame all the ones I
love. Here are some favs:

I met my pen pal Katelyn whose blog Elephant Ears I just adore. Cait of Fit, Fierce, and Fabulous had the greatest idea to hook up people that wanted real life pen pals. She couldn't have paired us up better! I have so enjoyed getting to know Katelyn and love getting a real letter in the mail! I really got into blogging when I took part in Cait's 30 day blog challenge. It was lots of fun and I took part to challenge myself to actually post 30 days in a row. Loved it and here I am 70 posts later!

I discovered link ups which I LOVE taking part in and reading everyone's else links too. Some of my favorites are:

To name just a few. I love this because they always give me a topic for the day, but they have also allowed me to find other bloggers with the same interest as me.

Giveaways are one of my favorite discoveries! I have been lucky enough to host 1 so far (hopefully another one soon, my budget just looks pretty grim lately) and win one! Who knew you could actually win really cool things? I entered one the other day for a Kate Spade bracelet, which I sadly lost, and College Prepster is hosting a great giveawy for a pair of Jack Rogers! To enter this amazing on just check out College Prepster here! I really don't want to tell you about it because I want to win this one bad! But that wouldn't be very nice of me!!!



I could go on and on and on, but you all know the amazing things about blogging. I love it so much and am so glad I have found you guys and all of my favorite blogs. Oh How Pinteresting!

You all know how much I love this blog and I am SUPER EXCITED to be linking up with Michelle at The Vintage Apple for Pinteresting Wednesdays!!! Pinterest is my newest obsession and addiction. For anyone that's not familiar with it, I LOVE this definition:

It is the most fun photo sharing website out there and I love how you can create your own boards that represent different categories and you put your different pins (pictures) on the one that it best belongs in. I love it because it just like dreaming in pictures for me and I can see what everyone else is dreaming about too. I LOVE IT!!! If you have been living under a rock  have not checked it out and need an invite just send me your email address or post it below. I also love how you can follow people and they can follow you as well. I follow mostly fellow bloggers and friends that I know have the same interests. Its so much fun to see what they have found and is too much fun to miss!
