Happy late Sunday, early Monday everyone! After all the wishing, hoping, and waiting today was my first pool day and I LOVED it. The weather was perfect, the water was refreshing, and the sun was blazing. I loved every minute of it. I am linking up with Keely again at Mannland5 for getting to know you. VERY hard question. I would have to say a shopping spree. The practical part of me says the clothes would be the better deal.

Legs. I am the hairiest person alive and my legs would look like a gorilla if I couldn't shave for a whole month. But hairy armpits would really stink. I guess if I didn't shave my legs at least I wouldn't smell! The question didn't say you couldn't get them waxed!

Gratitude List

Anyone that read my blog yesterday knows that my world is a little uncertain lately, but I know that God can do anything, and I am counting on him to heal Kat. Thank you for all the sweet comments, they all made me smile. Gratitude Lists always help me put things in perspective, so here goes!

1. I am so grateful to be surrounded by wonderful friends and family, both near and far. I have met some really special people here in Nashville that have come to be like family to both me and Kat. When someone gets sick or you need help its always interesting to find out who your true friends are. Blogger friends that I have never met are praying, facebook friends, and of course my biological family. I just feel so blessed right now. All the kind words (and of course the prayers) help so much.

2. I am grateful for the sunshine and warmer weather this week! I hope it is here to stay!

3. I am so grateful that Monday is Memorial day and I am off! All 3 pools are finally open which means I can go to the relaxing back pool and lay out in peace all day long.

4. I am grateful for all of the wonderful books I have read lately and the ones that are waiting to be read. I just finished these 2 and loved them. There include the same characters in both and are really great stories. Read them in order, they will make more sense.

Right now I am reading True Prep and am really enjoying it. I am looking forward to reading the next book on my shelf

Lame I know, but I can't wait to read this! You know you want to, come on, just admit it!

5. I am grateful for my new addiction Pinterest! I love looking at all the pics, creating boards, and just playin around with it. It is so addictive! If you need an invite just let me know! If you haven't checked it out yet, DO IT. It will definitely make you smile :)

6. I am grateful for hope, faith, new days, new beginnings, and second chances.



7. I am beyond grateful that I have found true love that most people won't experience in a lifetime. I hope everyone does.

8. I am so grateful that I started this blog! It has been such a wonderful outlet for me and I really really enjoy reading everyone's blogs. Your comments always make me smile and I love hearing everyone's words of wisdom, seeing pictures, and everything else that's on everyone's blogs. I am still trying to get to 100 followers! If you find yourself reading this please follow me and I will gladly do the same for you. I love finding new blogs.

Prayers Please

I have been missing reading everyone's blogs this week and I have missed posting as well. We got some very scary news this week and I need you all to pray for us please. My world revolved around my best friend who I have mentioned many times, Kat. I haven't ever come right out and said it because I feared judgement, but she is my other half. You all are all so open and honest and I want to be the same with you. I hope I haven't lost any bloggy friends with this statement.

We have been inseperable for the past 5 years and met when we first moved here. We were both looking for a roomate and just found each other, it is kind of a crazy story! She was getting divorced from 27 years of marriage and I had just broken up with my ex of 6 1/2 years. He is a great guy, but not good enough for me!

Anywho, Kat hasn't been feeling good at all lately. She has had some unexplained stress fractures in her foot and her throat was hurting really bad this last week, burning she said like someone put a cigarette out in her mouth, and she started passing out. I rushed her to the emergency room on Weds after I picked her up at the airport (she went to visit her family which is a whole other story). They found a HUGE mass on her left vocal cord. HUGE and it might be throat cancer. The dreaded "C" weird. I am hoping it is benign and once they remove the mass everything will be fine, but we won't know that until Thursday when we meet with the specialist. Because of this mass she is having a very hard time breathing, which is why she passes out. She can't drive anymore and is very dependant on me.

She is my world and this has scared me to death. I have to be strong for her, but I was a basket case earlier today. I called my Mom and she asked my why I was crying and why I was scared. She reminded me that God is bigger than all of us. She said if I am worrying and crying than I am not trusting him and putting my faith in him. She said the best thing I could do was get everyone I know to pray for Kat. Everyone. She said no one could fix this but him. She is so right.

If you all could please please please say a prayer for Kat. I have been praying so hard that this isn't cancer and that it can be removed and she will be just fine. I am trying to stay in good spirits for her, but it is very hard at times. I know whatever it is God will take care of it and we will get through this. Thank you so much for your prayers. I posted some inspirational pics below. Hope you all enjoy. Please please please say a prayer for Kat.

I don't get off work most nights until 11 so I usually don't go to bed until around 3.

WAY to many to name. Somehow I started getting all of these subscriptions and they change them up every once in a while. It is actually pretty cool, I never know which one will show up. They need to be organized though! I would love something cute and bright like this:

Saturday Smiles

I am Sooooooo super happy today!!! The sun is out and the temps are high. I hope this weather is finally here to stay. I am also off tomorrow and if I am lucky and this beautiful weather keeps up, this time tomorrow I will be laying by the pool! I feel like I have been slacking in a lot of ways lately. I have not been a good blogger, runner, reader and have been so down. I know part of it is that I have been sick on and off-allergies, cold, bronchitis, vision problems, migraines-and I credit a lot of that to the weather that just keeps changing. It might sound crazy, but I am such a summer person. I feel like this prolonged cold weather has really kept me kind of depressed. I have been catching up on a lot of blogs this morning and last night and I have to say a lot of you all have inspired me to do better! I am trying to get back on track and no matter what I will be exercising tomorrow morning before the pool. No matter what.

I finally got the cutest glasses and they are really helping me so much. I am horribly blind and have worn contacts forever, but haven't had glasses in at least 10 years if not longer. In the past few months I have gotten bad blurry vision and my right eye, which is already semi-lazy, was really going out of control. I now have the CUTEST pair of glasses thanks to my awesome vision insurance from work. They are the cutest dark tortoise shell Ray Bans and wouldn't you know I deleted the only pic I have of myself in them. Accidentally. I will post one soon for you all to see. I wore them to work yesterday and was self conscious at first, but I got a lot of compliments, so I think we chose them well!

Another fun thing that I am now addicted to is Pinterest. I LOVE it. You have to have an invite to join, if you need one just let me know, but it is all about pictures and making the boards is so much fun. To me it is a combination of Tumblr and We Heart It. It is so much fun to see all the cool pics and you all know I will be posting my favs quite often. If you are a member please let me know so I can follow you! You can find me here.

Here are some of my favs I posted last night on my Boards on Pinterest. I have so many ideas running through my head I can't wait to get back on when I get home from work tonight. I know Saturday Night on Pinterest, but I do work till 11 and my other half is out of town until Weds. I want to be fresh and ready for a great day tomorrow. Here is just a sample of a few I found last night.

I did not forget about the Celebrity Blog Challenge today, which is day 21. The category today is Entertainment Shows that you watch and I do not watch any at all. More for lack of time than anything, if I watch anything on TV it is a movie, something on Bravo, or another TV show I have missed like Gossip Girl, Mad Men, Glee, etc.
