Crazy Day!

Tonight was another crazy one at Hotel Indigo. People everywhere! Could for the hotel but not good for me!!! I would have no problem if they were all guests, but these people were just there for singer/songwriter night, which is great and brings in bar business, but they are a bunch of kids that are sooooo rude and noisy. There is an entire hotel and they all gather around me and play there guitars and talk. LOUD. Guests have to go around them, they act like they can't move or say excuse me, I have to cover one ear while I am on the phone, and they are just so rude. I know I wasn't in college that long ago, well maybe a little longer than I would like to admit, but these kids are just plain rude. They act so entitled-like the world (and hotel lobby) belong to them and that the rest of us should step aside and let them rule it. I am SO NOT DISSING COLLEGE KIDS, but I have found this particular college seems to be full of rich entitled children. I hate to stereotype, but every situation I encounter these kids in, they always act the same way. It is so hard for me to sit at the front desk and bite my tongue as guests are forced to walk around and through them because they have no manners. I have never ever acted like, nor have any of my friends. What the heck is going on with these kids??? What happened to manners??? Does anyone else feel this way or is it just me??? Sorry to whine, but I just needed to vent and get some more opinions.

On to the blog challenge from Cait at Fit, Fierce, and Fabulous. I was sick yesterday, so I am a little behind. The challenge from day 22 was a picture of something you wish you were better at. This is such a hard one for me. I wish I was better at so many things, but the number one thing on my mind lately has been:

Running

Working Out

I would LOVE to be a runner. I used to run when I was in middle school, but really haven't tried it since then. I read all these blogs about running. My sister and a few of my friends are avid runners and have fantastic bodies. I think I am more scared than anything of running and working out in general. I know it will be really hard at first so it's like I just don't even try. My excuse right now is I don't have an ipod anymore-2 of mine were stolen-so how will I work out or start walking/running without music? Lame I know, but I am low on funds right now so I can't buy one. So lame. I want the body and I am eating right so I really need to take the plunge.

The challenge for day 23 was a picture of your favorite book. This is so hard for me. I love to read almost more than anything and I read all the time. In fact I finished 3 books this past weekend alone. I know big dork-but when its warm outside there is nothing I like better than lying by the pool and reading or just sitting on my balcony by the lake with a good book. I am always looking for suggestions on new books, authors, and wish I could find a book club here in Nashville. I can't hardly find any bloggers down here! Some favorite books that I have read lately are

Its so crazy that I LOVE both of the series because they are so outside of the box for me. I think my 2 favorite books of all time are:

Both were assigned reading in high school and I LOVED them both. What books are your favorites? Any suggestions for me???

If you catch yourself reading my blog please become a follower! I would be happy to do the same for you.

  1. Girl, you can be a runner! I started running about 10 years ago and could only go 1/4 mile... I just kept adding a little more distance and before you knew it I was up to 3 and 4 miles.
I loved the hunger games series! Oddly your 2 favorite books are 2 of mine as well.

  2. Kristin Hannah is the author that is at the top of my list right now! Her most famous book, Firefly Lane, is AMAZING!!! It was sooooo good. It is prob #1 on my reading list. I used to hate reading when I was forced to, and now I can't get enough of it! Can't wait to exchange that snail mail. ;)
